Welcome to Canada’s Flower City. Welcome to a proud Communities in Bloom and Canada Blooms award-winning City where luxuriant gardens, spacious parks and sun-dappled ponds await you. The beauty of our City reflects the spirit of a growing cosmopolitan community that cherishes its charming, small town ambience. It’s all here - hundreds of attractions, leisure activities, arts and music festivals, live theatre and dance. Discover cultural heritage sites, major league sports, the annual Flower City Parade, Classic Cars and Legendary Stars, Farmers’ and Country Markets just to name a few. Rural Pick-Your-Own farms are ripe for visiting in the warmer months. The heart of the city beats downtown, where annually thousands of visitors attend a host of exciting events. Come revel in multicultural festivals, quaint restaurants, museums, artists’ studios and galleries, distinctive architecture, fine dining and world-class shopping. Slated to open in late 2006, The Rose Theatre Brampton, our new performing arts centre, sets the stage for professional live entertainment at its best. This prestigious landmark promises to be the main buzz on Main Street. Families can make a splash at the beach at Professor’s Lake, a wading pool or splash pad in one of our many parks, or at Wild Water Kingdom, Canada’s largest water park. Get intense with go-cart racing or go sublime at a butterfly conservatory. Hike our scenic trails, try horseback riding, play golf or volleyball, or go roller blading. We boast some of Ontario’s most picturesque ponds, lakes, rivers and conservation areas where you can fish, sail, canoe, windsurf, picnic or paddle boat. Winter brings cool outdoor fun such as ice skating, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, carriage rides, the annual Santa Claus Parade, a sparkling WinterLights Celebration and our outdoor New Year’s Eve party. Parking in downtown is easy. There are three municipal parking garages. The first hour of parking is free on weekdays. Parking is free after 7 p.m. and all weekend. If you don’t drive, a limo or taxi, Brampton Transit, the GO Train, or VIA Rail will take you into and around the City. Visit Brampton season after season. This vibrant City will entertain you, renew your spirit and immerse you in unforgettable experiences. So keep exploring Brampton… there is a lot to see!
