Elliot Lake area offers incredibly scenic lookouts and vistas for hiking, with a wide variety of trails within city limits. As the first in a series of planned ATV destinations in Ontario and with more than 300 kms of looped trails, riders can travel along a well mapped and signed trail system and experience a wilderness adventure while never traveling farther than 30 kms from Elliot Lake.

Tourists have visited the Elliot Lake area for years to pursue their passion for outdoor adventure. With more than 4,000 surrounding lakes, the opportunities for fishing are endless. Teeming with fresh water trout and more than eight other fish species, the area offers an ideal place to land a tasty catch.

Fishing is one of the biggest reasons that people come to the Elliot Lake area and with good reason. We have more than 4,000 lakes in the region, and dozens of them, some over 300 feet deep, carry the largest stock of lake trout in Ontario. You can also expect to catch speckle and rainbow trout, bass, northern pike, whitefish, walleye and perch. The environment is fresh, clean and free from pollution and the scenery is some the most beautiful and unspoiled in Canada. We even have a local fish hatchery to stock up the lakes' natural supplies.

You'll find boat launches on many of the lakes, and a number of outpost camp operators who organize fishing trips to the more remote lakes that are inaccessible by car. They would love to fly you in to these remote areas.

So if you're fully equipped, head for the water and enjoy one of the greatest fishing trips of your life.
