March Break is almost here and the kids are itching for that one week away from school. Why not get them involved with some fun march break activities? Keep them busy and create some great memories?

Below you will find a list of activities that your children can participate this March Break. Offers are listed here for your convenience. Kids may take part in programs offered through your own communities, as well as March Break Camps offered through local libraries, Ontario Sience Centre, or ROM.

Take a look, there is something for everyone.
The Barrie Activities "Go Green " @ your libraryTM March Break! Join us for some green fun and adventure at the library. Please note that all events are free with the exception of the "Freeze Kids" cartooning workshhop. However tickets must be picked up at the door of the Angus Ross Room one half hour before each puppet show.
The Riding Camp for Girls A WEEK long, (Sunday to Saturday) residential camp, with a unique variety of outdoor activities that EMBRACE WINTER as it comes to a gentle close. This one of a kind Children's Riding Camp is open up to sixteen girls, ages 10 - 16 ~ so book early! The scope of the campers' daily activities is intensive winter fun, with friendly and personal instruction and lots of animal stuff!
Join us during Pepsi March Break Students week for the best spring skiing around! Bring the kids and hit the slopes - it's a great time for family fun. All students under the age of 17 ski for only $38 with a specially priced day/night lift ticket.
Ottawa is a great March break destination for families, with tons of fun activities for kids at our national museums, attractions, events, sightseeing, maple syrup season and more.
Canada Aviation Museum Don’t wait for the next hundred years to go by! Now is the time to be part of the special Centennial of Flight activities planned for you and your friends at the Canada Aviation Museum. Explore the history and the evolution of aviation with hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations for all ages.
Canadian Museum of Civilization A cultural experience you won’t want to miss! Explore 1,000 years of Canadian history as you travel through life-sized townscapes and environments from across the country, and as you meet some of Canada’s most remarkable figures. Discover a traditional West Coast aboriginal village and take in the world’s largest indoor collection of totem poles.

March Break at the Royal Ontario Museum Children aged 5-14 can join the ROM's dynamic instructors for exciting hands-on activities in our galleries, studio and classroom labs. Choose from morning and afternoon courses.

Ontario's Cultural Attractions our Ontario government is urging people to take advantage of the many events Ontario's cultural attractions have to offer during March Break.
National Gallery of Canada For children ages 8 to 12. Join us for a week of hands-on fun. In the galleries, check out the amazing variety of artworks on view and enjoy in-gallery activities. In the studio, try your hand at painting, sculpting, and print-making. To top it all off, organize an exhibition to show off your masterpieces.
At Call of the Wild you will be given instructions on the proper technique of controlling a dog sled and a team of eager sled dogs. You will help harness the Huskies, hook them up to the dogsleds, and issue a command..."Mush"! Off you will race as the dogs strain at their harnesses, happy to be pulling a dog sled once again. After they settle down into their natural pace, you will steer them into the forests surrounding Algonquin Park, navigating twisting trails and wide open frozen lakes. On the flat parts of the trail you can relax with the wind blowing in your face, and watch the majestic winter forest silently glide by!
Bring the kids out to the Zoo and enjoy our warm, tropical pavilions, packed with exotic animals, trees and plants. Stop by our Malayan Woods to enjoy spring flowers and free-flight butterflies! Or grab a hot chocolate and venture outside to see lions, tigers, camels and other animals on well-marked trails and take in one of our extended Keeper Talks.
Wings of Paradise Enter a lush tropical garden and discover thousands of live flying butterflies from Costa Rica and the Philippines. Learn about butterfly metamorphosis while you watch butterflies emerge from their chrysalides!
Barnyard Break at the Canada Agriculture Museum during the March Break from March 1 to 8 (Quebec) and March 14 to 22 (Ontario). Parents and children looking for March Break learning and fun will find it at the Canada Agriculture Museum’s Barnyard Break!
March Break Madness kicks off on March 13th with P.A. Day programs at Science North and Dynamic Earth, and the fun continues right through the week.
Engineering Week
Royal Botanical Gardens Enjoy the gifts of nature. Discover our beautiful world and learn more about your connections to plants and our planet. Most day camps take place at the Nature Interpretive Centre.
Harbourfront Centre Add some magic to your March Break. In just one week, your child can learn circus tricks, discover how to take great photographs and so much more. Suddenly, that television doesn’t seem so appealing.
