Night Skiing in Ontario

Night Skiing in Ontario is offered at several downhill resorts.  We are mostly excited about St. Louis Moonstone celebrating their 50th anniversary with an addition of night skiing.  After 9 years of living just minutes from the lifts, we can finally enjoy an hour of two on the slopes each evening. We are very thankful for that.

Night Skiing & Accommodations for Blue Mountain Resort

Blue Mountain is Ontario's largest and highest downhill slope, one that offers variety of activities for it's patrons. Thousands of people enjoy their visits to Blue Mountain every day, throughout the year. Located about 45 minutes from Barrie with spectacular views of Georgian Bay.  This Intrawest owned resort offers accommodations right at the base of the mountain with restaurants and shopping right on your doorstep! You can search for your accommodations here.

This is where we used to spent our winters prior to moving to Moonstone.  This was a hill that tough us a lot about ourselves.  Conditions here are usually a bit more grainy as it is facing the lake, resulting in a bit more ice showing up on the slopes.  We love it nonetheless.

Night Skiing & Accommodations for Horseshoe Resort

Horseshoe Resort, one of the most popular downhill skiing resorts in Ontario offers night skiing throughout the season.  Here you will have two options:  the 7 Night pass that is valid for all ages.  Lift access 7 days a week from 3:30 pm till 10:00 pm.  Or a 5 day and 7 nights pass that is valid for use Monday to Friday from 9 am to 10 pm as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 2:30 pm till 10:00 pm.  There are no Black Out Dates - you can use your pass over Christmas Break, Family Day Weekend and March Break.

Horseshoe Resort is the smallest of the resorts in this area. This is where I first started skiing.  My first ski lift took me to the smallest slope and to my own surprise I got off the lift, turned towards the slope and... didn't fall!  I was hooked on skiing that day.   Today, I live 15 minutes away from Horseshoe and my kids still enjoy the Terrain Park there few times a week.

This is the perfect place to start your skiing adventure if you never tried it before. Find your perfect Horseshoe accommodations here
